One man in the field is no warrior. Bionic University Summer Camp final projects presentations
18 August, 2015It was a real challenge to break into the event of BU Summer Camp final projects presentations: those bravehearts who passed all the stages of the selection process had to work hard on their projects for six weeks running. On the presentation day, the teams broke through the rain to the office of the GlobalLogic company, where they had to present their ideas to the IT-experts. The day before all the rooms of BIONIC University were packed with students, where they could finish up their projects and rehearse the presentations.
But the Presentation Day came and it was too late to resile. The trainers came, the experts were ready to evaluate the projects, and BU Summer Camp teams were ready to present the results of their work! Moreover, a special guest – The Cookie, miraculously spared from the very first day of Summer Camp, appeared at that presentation. All of them have witnessed a great show!
Thor team was the first to present their project Friends’ Photo. These guys gave birth to the program which allows quickly and conveniently share photos with friends. The team immediately tested the project in real-time mode!
Then Vision team began to present the project. The guys have developed a new test system for BIONIC University. Of course, we know everything about it, but we can’t share the details. The only thing we can say is that the system is really cool and we’ll definitely use it soon!
Hulk team presented new vision of education management process in their “KnowledgeMent” project. This project is optimized for small and middle businesses and provides an opportunity to easily browse educational materials, receive new information, study in the most comfortable form. With the help of this system the owners of educational centers will get more satisfied clients and higher revenues.
Iron Man team gave so far the brightest presentation. Guys made a real stage performance! Cause their project task was not the easy one! Their aim was to help people choose the best BDay presents for their friends! In case they… forgot about the “special date” 🙂 Iron Man team showed us all stages of choosing the present – calling your friends, discussions, a bottle of Fanta appearing from no one knows where, and, of course, the solution – looking up in the WishList for great ideas! WishList – is the name of the Iron Man team project! It gives an opportunity to enlist all the desired presents for your friends to see and chose what to give you as a present on special occasions. Maybe, a bottle of Fanta? If it is on the list – the gift is ready! At least the gift was ready for Iron Man team, who split the bottle right after the presentation:)
Captain America team found the way not to forget memorable moments. Moreover they can help you share these bright moments with your friends easily and quickly! Saw an outstanding movie? Witnessed the best live performance ever? All this you can store and share with friends through a project Remember the Show (Cloud Notes): open the program, write a review, add photos or posters – and your amazing experience is under reliable Cloud-protection! From now on you will never forget about it.
What if your team or department urgently needs to make a presentation, but no one knows where to start and how to do it? The answer was found by HawkEye team with “Nexus” Team Collaboration System project. The project allows to transfer information within a team, to distribute roles and tasks between all participants evenly, as well as to manage the whole process.
Experts and trainers from GlobalLogic, AppMania, EngagePoint and representatives of other IT-companies asked questions and carefully searched for projects’ shortcomings. Several times they even managed to do it, but not for a long while! The teams immediately fixed bugs and found a way out. In the end trainers thanked the participants and gave them an advice to build teams and go on working on their projects. ” One man in the field is no warrior” – summed up Georgiy Khubua, Team Lead, GlobalLogic.a
