European Design Upgrade named one of the most outstanding projects of the EU program Creative Europe
15 January, 2021The EU program Creative Europe has already helped implement thousands of projects in Europe and decided to talk about the eight most outstanding ones during recent years, including the unique European Design Upgrade (EDU) project.
Its goal is to find innovative urban solutions to create a modern and harmonious socio-cultural environment in Ukraine. The project was implemented by the foundation of Vasyl Khmelnytsky K.Fund, the non-governmental organization GoLOCAL and the partner countries companies — Brussels Creative from Belgium and Urban Mill from Finland.
The program united designers, artists, architects, technologists who have studied from the world’s best experts to address the current challenges of urban ecosystems, to find innovative solutions that can be implemented at both local and European levels. The most interesting concepts of the participants were presented at the international online exhibition Dutch Design Week 2020.
“We were happy to be partners with this important European educational project. We hope that our example will inspire others to create their initiatives and allow talented Ukrainians to contribute to the development of Ukraine and the world,”
Olena Dobrorodnieva, vice president of K.Fund and conceptual leader of the EDU project.
